The MAJOURI brand was founded in Paris in 2017 by Hadi Masmoum. From generation to generation, his family has been engaged in the production of Damascus rose oil, the plantations of which Syria is famous for – the historical homeland of Hadi. Becoming the heir to the family business, Hadi intertwined his life with France and the city of Grasse, where he lived and studied perfumery for many years. His love for France, its European perfumery traditions, as well as the connection to the cultural code of his Syrian ancestors, intertwining and enriching each other, is fully reflected in the brand's philosophy. The name MAJOURI is a tribute to his family. "Maa" is a word meaning water in Arabic, and "Jouri" translates to "Damascus rose." All MAJOURI production is concentrated exclusively in France and is carried out in full accordance with classical perfumery traditions. The bottles for the perfumes are produced by the oldest French company Pochet du Courval. The fragrances are created by perfumers from the Firmenich and Mone laboratories. The creators of the MAJOURI brand believe that our lives are woven from encounters with people, places, significant events, and passions that charge us with new perspectives, and therefore strive to create perfumes with a generous and welcoming character, almost soothing their owner, and sometimes providing comfort, like the feeling of a cozy home.
