To apply, start from the inner corner of the eye, drawing a very fine line as close to the lash line as possible, continue with a thin line for two-thirds of the way across, then thicken the line while sweeping the pen slightly up and out, and finally, instead of following the curve of the eye downwards, draw diagonally upwards until you're level with the end of the eye, sweeping the line out and up to finish with a flick 2mm from the end.
