Paris, 1900. At a time when the World Exhibition marks the beginning of the 20th century, René Lalique reaches the pinnacle of his fame as a jeweler: Grand Prix, the Legion of Honor, and enthusiastic admirers crowding in front of his showcases.
A jeweler-poet, he made a real revolution in the art of jewelry, introducing decorative elements borrowed from flora and fauna. However, he continues to seek new forms of artistic expression and turns his attention to glass. He had already used it in his jewelry, and from 1910 he would fully dedicate himself to working with this material. And this would be another revolution.

This search for timeless beauty is the inspiration behind the tale of Fleur Universelle. The plot focuses on the flowers of immortelle, whose crowns never fade. The warm, spicy scent of the flower intoxicates the main characters, taking over their minds. They drink rum with cinnamon, dreaming of a magical land with hot sand and bright sun. Wishing to attain immortality, they embark on a journey for the ingredients for the potion: pink pepper, cardamom, tonka beans, and patchouli. A leisurely journey, full of sensuality.
