Escentric 04 is an ode to the futuristic freshness of Javanol, a sheer sandalwood molecule.

This award-winning fragrance centres on Javanol in a formula that highlights its grapefruit accent, fizzing with crisp, bitter notes of pink grapefruit peel and a touch of lime.

Javanol, described as 'the wildest' molecule of them all, is a sandalwood-type molecule that retains the radiance and endurance of natural sandalwood yet is sheer and transparent like no sandalwood in nature.

Escentric 04 is a uniquely fresh interpretation of a sandalwood fragrance, blending crisp, bitter top notes of pink grapefruit peel with an added zest of lime. Juniper and pink pepper give an extra shot of freshness, and the green edge of marijuana brings out the softer quality of the grapefruit pith.

At the heart is orris, accompanied by a 'fresh soft rose' composed of four different rose ingredients. The drydown introduces a balsamic, woody base where Javanol mingles with Polysantol, a somewhat sweeter sandalwood molecule, to create a captivating and lingering aroma.

"In the other Escentric fragrances, I used a huge amount of the Molecule," says perfumer Geza Schoen. "But Javanol is like truffles, and a few slices of truffle shaved on top of your pasta are enough to transport you to heaven."

Consequently, Javanol and Polysantol together make up 15% of Escentric 04. The grapefruit note bursts forth from the bottle – aromatic, pink, unusual and bold. But never kitsch. The by-product? A subtle yet seductive scent that surrounds the wearer in silvery freshness and woody desire that'll propel those around them into a hazy fantasy.
