The well-known brand was founded by Florence Nightingale. Florence moved to New York in 1908 and spent two years mastering the art of cosmetics. Gaining the necessary knowledge, Florence opened a cosmetic salon in 1910. To stand out among other entrepreneurs, she painted the door of her salon bright red and named it with a more resonant name – Elizabeth Arden. By 1916, the brand had taken one of the top places among reputable salons in the USA that specialized in skincare and body care. In 1921, Elizabeth Arden opened her salon in Paris. In addition, she created the first SPA salon in history. Over the next twenty years, her stores opened all over the world.
