The small town of malfa, located on the island of salina, became famous since the works of lampedusa and visconti. the aeolian island, bordered by sea spray and winds, was the source of inspiration for ‘malfa walls’.
Sicilian citrus leads the way into the heart of the nave of the church of san lorenzo, where the scent of wood panelling vies with the coldness of thick walls dating from 1703.
Incense rises to the heavens, carrying with it the prayers and hopes of an entire people.

The Fragrance Pyramid

The Fragrance Pyramid

The top or initial notes, woven from light and volatile components, give the composition its initial sound and create a mood. These notes last for a few minutes and prepare for the main fragrance.

The bright sound of the top notes smoothly transitions into the main accord – the heart notes. This is where the main melody plays, defining the fragrance's family, character, and recognizability. They can last up to 2 hours.

The heart notes transition into the warmth of the final, trailing, or base notes. These notes give the composition a sensual sound, ensure the longevity of the composition, and determine its richness. They can last up to 8 hours.

The duration of the notes depends on the fragrance composition, skin characteristics, application method, and is provided as an estimate.
