The Fragrance Pyramid

The Fragrance Pyramid

The top or initial notes, woven from light and volatile components, give the composition its initial sound and create a mood. These notes last for a few minutes and prepare for the main fragrance.

The bright sound of the top notes smoothly transitions into the main accord – the heart notes. This is where the main melody plays, defining the fragrance's family, character, and recognizability. They can last up to 2 hours.

The heart notes transition into the warmth of the final, trailing, or base notes. These notes give the composition a sensual sound, ensure the longevity of the composition, and determine its richness. They can last up to 8 hours.

The duration of the notes depends on the fragrance composition, skin characteristics, application method, and is provided as an estimate.

About the brand

MANCERA
The Mancera perfume house is truly a family business, a collaborative project between the renowned perfumer Pierre Montale and his daughter Amelie Mancera. Amelie's childhood was spent surrounded by bottles in her father's laboratory, so it is no surprise that over time she became a co-author of Mancera fragrances. These vibrant and unique compositions are among the most long-lasting and trailblazing scents in the world. The glass bottle, representing a synthesis of modernism and neoclassicism, was specially designed by the French space agency CNES. It uses the same glass as the portholes of spacecraft — it does not allow heat and light rays to penetrate, which are the main enemies of rare essences. Mancera fragrances are like pages of a diary, keepers of thoughts, feelings, and impressions. Stories of wanderings, love, dreams, and desires are woven into exquisite compositions made from the most unusual, rare, and precious components.
